An undisclosed number of students of the science college, Kagara in Niger state have been reportedly abducted by bandits who stormed the school on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the bandits in military uniforms attacked the school on Tuesday night, February 16, and overpowered the security guard before whisking away the students. Sadly, a student was also killed during the attack.
It was confirmed that the attack started from the staff quarters around 2 am and ended in the student’s hostels.
According to an unknown source, “A staff by name Batagi, had escaped and he is in the school as of the time of filing this report while others are still with the bandits.”
Meanwhile, Shehu Sani, a former Nigerian senator via Twitter on Wednesday, February 17, confirmed the attack on the school which is his Alma mata. The activist stated that some staff members of the institution were also abducted by armed men. Sani said he has spoken with the principal of the school about the abduction.
