This was announced by the registrar of the board, Ishaq Oloyede, during a meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday with stakeholders on the plans and programmes for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, and Direct Entry, DE.
The board not only disclosed the dates for the exams but also mentioned that it is taking into cognizance dates of other public examinations.
Oloyede said students who express interest will write mock examination from January 22 to 24. “The mock examination is starting the same date the sales of form is ending.”
He said the price of the form will be N5000, the sale of the registration form will commence on November 22 and will run till January 22, 2018.
According to the registrar, several changes that would strengthen the credibility of the exam system will be witnessed by candidates in the course of 2018 exercise.
For instance, the Board has eliminated the use emails during registration and replaced it with the use of telephone numbers for easy and secured interaction with the candidates. Eyeglasses are to be examined properly before candidates are allowed into the examination hall.”
